Learn, Do, Become!

Talking about the Leadership, how do you think – how can somebody develop good leadership qualities?

“Remember the difference between a boss and a leader – a boss says “Go!”, a leader says “Let’s go!” (E. M. Kelly)

The real leader owns 3 main things:

  • pure heart to inspire
  • strong will to be very good at what he’s doing, to get even better and to play the game with the team, not against the team
  • real love to what he’s doing and to the people, he’s leading.

And what’s the other common thing between successful leaders?

They all have an awesome charisma, which is one of the reasons for their success.

What’s the charisma in fact?

It’s related with the charm and attractiveness, that can inspire devotion in others. But we are not born charismatic. We cultivate it.

Charisma is a personal quality of presence or charm that others find compelling.

The truth is, that everyone could be charismatic if there’s a development of the respective qualities. The key word here is “development”.

There’s no charismatic personality without:

  • a self confidence
  • an enthusiasm and optimism
  • a warm attitude (real, not fake one)
  • a perfect body language
  • a sense of humor
  • a sense of honor, morality & ethics
  • an ambition and strong will

Welcome to the world where everyone wants to have charisma like it’s some kind of a Christmas present, but nobody wants to believe, that the charisma is not a question of luck. It could only be developed by ourselves.

So…

Here come 3 questions:

  1. Do you want to be a leader?
  2. Do you want to provide the perfect product and service to your customers?
  3. Do you want to have the best brand?

If you’re clever and ambitious, you’ll have only one answer to all these questions and it will be “Yes”.

But because you’re clever you’ll also know, that:

  • in fact business is not about perfection, it’s about progress
  • your product may not be the perfect one, but if you make this product amazing, it’s ok not to be perfect. Sometimes the disadvantages are the real advantages.
  • often it’s better to improve step by step than to delay with the perfect execution.
  • to be perfect you must have priorities in your business and your priorities will be the mirror of your character. What do you want to see in the mirror?
  • having priorities means that the scenario “I’ll do it later/ someday” is the wrong one, because “someday” is not a day of the business week.

“Have no fear of perfection. You’ll never reach it” (Salvador Dali)
